Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Sr. NC3 Systems Engineer to support the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) in the NC3 portfolio.

The role involves independent systems engineering of communications for national security missions, interfacing with senior AFNWC leadership, and coordinating with ETG and other Aerospace locations. Travel up to ~20% and active TS clearance with SCI access are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field.
• 12+ years of industry or USAF experience.
• Familiarity with Nuclear Command, Control & Communications (NCC & C) systems and related architectures.
• Willing to travel domestically ~20%.
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI access; SAP access possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide communications systems engineering expertise to AFNWC staff and leadership.
• Engage with AFNWC leadership up to SES-level Portfolio Acquisition Executive.
• Interface for reach-back activities to ETG workforce at El Segundo and other Aerospace locations.
• Develop, evaluate, and validate system-level requirements.
• Support enterprise integration across multiple offices and programs; present status briefings.
