Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Sr NC3 Systems Engineer to support the Air Force NC3 portfolio in a full-time, on-site capacity at one of our locations (Hanscom AFB MA, Crystal City/Chantilly VA, El Segundo CA, or Offutt NE). You will provide expertise across terrestrial networks, space-based communications, and system-level requirements while engaging AFNWC leadership and coordinating with ETG teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 12+ years of industry or USAF experience.
• Familiarity with NC3 disciplines: terrestrial networks, LOS, space-based comms, nuclear hardness/EMP.
• National Military Command System enterprise architecture, digital engineering, open standards, and enterprise mission analysis.
• Willing to travel ~20% domestically.
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI access; ability to obtain SAP; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide communications systems engineering expertise to AFNWC staff and leadership.
• Engage with AFNWC leadership up to SES level.
• Interface with ETG workforce at El Segundo and other Aerospace locations.
• Support development, evaluation, and validation of system requirements.
• Foster enterprise integration across diverse customers (AFNWC/NC, AFGSC, AFNWC/NI).
• Lead design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
• Present technical and project status briefings to management.
• Provide mission assurance and apply expertise to program areas.
• Prepare technical reports and guidance for the customer.
• Build liaison relationships with Air Force and contractor/FFRDC staff.
• Travel ~20% domestically.
• Broaden experience on other Nuclear Operations programs (e.g., Sentinel).
