Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Navigation/IMU Engineer to join the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems (AEGS) Department in Tucson, AZ. The role centers on IMU selection, integration, testing, and performance analysis within navigation subsystems, collaborating with IPT teams and suppliers.

You will develop test plans, document requirements, and communicate results to leadership and government customers, while mentoring teammates and contributing to program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional work experience.
• Advanced degree may substitute years of experience (Master’s = 2 years, PhD = 4 years).
• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals and IMU selection for products.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support IMU selection, testing, and analysis of IMU performance.
• Interface with IMU suppliers; develop IMU requirements and test plans; peer reviews of designs for government customers.
• Present status, progress, and accomplishments to leadership and customers; work within an IPT environment.
• Work independently and develop tests to verify IMU performance.
