Job summary

RTX invites qualified engineers to join the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team in Tucson. You will contribute to electrical systems engineering for missile guidance and flight avionics, handling architecture, requirements, integration, and testing across programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, MBSE, and experience with RF/RADAR, Navigation/IMU/GPS, data links, and power systems. A DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of flight avionics experience with electrical hardware development, subsystems, systems engineering, requirement development/validation.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead or mentor teams across hardware systems lifecycle, including design, analysis, requirements, and test plans.
• Architect new electronic subsystems and document subsystem requirements.
• Collaborate with government customers and suppliers, and travel as needed.
