Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Rancho Bernardo, CA, seeks an Engineer Navigation or Principal Engineer Navigation to support the Common Products - Navigation team. You will work on GPS receivers, inertial measurement units, and RF equipment, collaborating across teams to deliver quality solutions.
The role involves flight and lab testing, Production/Field Support, anomaly resolution, and supplier management.
Qualifications
- Final US Government Secret clearance is required.
- Understanding of GPS, inertial sensors, and RF devices and their interconnections.
- Experience with MATLAB and MS Office tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.
Responsibilities
- Integrate navigation hardware, interfaces, and redundancy.
- Conduct system testing, flight testing in labs, and investigations.
- Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for Production/Field issues.
- Support proposal development, verification/validation, and risk analysis.
- Translate customer requirements into total system solutions balancing tech, schedule, and cost.
