Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks an Engineer Navigation to support the Common Products - Navigation team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The role covers integrating navigation hardware, conducting flight and lab testing, and providing field support across development, production, and operations.
The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and relevant experience, familiarity with GPS, inertial sensors, RF devices, and MATLAB, and can obtain the necessary security clearance for a US government
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in STEM with 2+ years of experience or Master's in STEM with no experience
- Principal: Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with no experience
- Final US Government Secret clearance required
- Familiarity with GPS, inertial sensors, RF devices
- Experience with MATLAB and MS Office
Responsibilities
- Integrate navigation hardware, defining interfaces and redundancy
- Conduct investigations, system testing, and flight testing in lab environments
- Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for Production and Field issues
- Support proposal development, technical planning, verification & validation, cost & risk analysis, and trade studies
- Ensure the conversion of customer requirements into total system solutions balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints
