Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (AU) is seeking a Principal Engineer or Sr. Principal Engineer in Navigation to support the Air Vehicle Navigation team in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on RF performance for the navigation subsystem and requires extensive engineering experience.

The ideal candidate will perform subsystem lab testing, technical planning, and system integration, ensuring designs align with technical and cost constraints. A STEM degree is required, along with skills in RF systems and clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with at least 5 years of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Perform navigation subsystem lab testing and support flight tests.
• Conduct system integration and verification for total systems.
• Translate product requirements into hardware/software specifications.

Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Working knowledge of RF devices and system architecture

General understanding of GPS and inertial sensors

Education

Bachelor's in STEM with 5 years experience or Master's with 3 years

Tools

Matlab

Test equipment like oscilloscopes and signal generators
