Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years shipboard welding experience or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
• Must pass company weld tests and certifications.
• Familiar with NAVSEA standards and procedures.
• Own tools and PPE for daily work.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, blueprints, shop orders and process sheets.
• Fabricate/repair foundations, cable collars, hangers and penetrations with ARC and gas welding.
• Perform plasma or torch cutting and grinding as required.
• Train shop personnel on tools, machinery and test equipment.
• Work aboard U.S. Navy ships with safety-first focus.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
