Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Advanced Marine Welder to support U.S. Navy ships and C5ISR installations. You will fabricate, assemble, and repair electromechanical and electronic assemblies, working safely on-board ships and at military installations near Chesapeake, VA.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years shipboard welding experience, U.S. Citizenship, and the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance. You will operate under NAVSEA guidelines, wear respirators, and may travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years shipboard welding experience.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
• Must pass pre-employment welding tests and respirator qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal components or repair using heavy machinery.
• Review blueprints and cut metal to shape.
• Smooth metal and remove imperfections.
• Travel up to 10% and work onsite in Chesapeake, VA.
• May train personnel on tools and test equipment.
