Job summary

LAUKOA seeks a Senior Maritime Engineer to support Navy and DoD maritime programs, systems, and waterfront operations. The role requires hands-on engineering across planning, design, testing, and sustainment with close collaboration among government customers, engineers, program managers, and vendors.

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate mission needs into executable engineering solutions at Navy

Qualifications

• Experience supporting U.S. Navy, NAVSEA, NAVFAC, NSWC, NUWC, or other Navy/DoD maritime programs.
• Experience in maritime, naval, ocean, waterfront, vessel, or marine engineering.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support for Navy maritime, waterfront, and ocean programs.
• Plan, design, develop, integrate, test, evaluate, install, operate, maintain, and sustain maritime systems.
• Review drawings, specs, data packages, and technical documentation for engineering integrity.
• Support design reviews, technical interchange meetings, readiness reviews, and testing events.
• Coordinate with vendors, shipyards, and government customers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for complex maritime projects.
• Ensure configuration management and proper documentation controls.
• Travel to Navy installations, shipyards, and government sites as required.
• Maintain compliance with Navy, DoD, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
