Job summary

Pantheon Data, a Washington, DC area company, seeks a Senior Naval Architect to join the Ship Design Team and provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard on acquisition and sustainment projects.

The role involves reviewing stability, speed, and power designs, conducting tests, and collaborating across engineering, management, and customer teams to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery. Hybrid work with some onsite collaboration is offered.

Qualifications

• 6 years naval architecture/marine engineering designing vessel arrangements and stability.
• Experience with government or commercial shipbuilding programs.
• DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review naval architecture design work related to stability, speed, power.
• Conduct, witness, and document tests including stability, speed, power, maneuvering, and seakeeping trials.
• Review shipboard structural components and arrangements for compliance.
• Provide feedback on design reviews to meet project goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, program management, and customer teams to ensure timely delivery.
