Job summary

Pantheon Data, a Kenific Holding company based near the Washington, DC area, seeks a Senior Naval Architect to support the United States Coast Guard on acquisition and sustainment projects within the Ship Design Team. You will analyze stability, speed, power, and conduct tests.

Candidates should have 6 years naval architecture/marine engineering experience, knowledge of USN/USCG rules, and the ability to work remotely in cross-functional teams; a BS/MS in a technical field is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with naval architecture software solving complex problems regarding hull design.
• Experience with corrosion principles of metals for surface assets and boats.
• Knowledge of USN, USCG, IACS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review Naval Architecture design work related to stability, speed, power.
• Conduct, witness, and document tests including stability, speed, power, maneuvering, and seakeeping trials.
• Review and provide guidance on shipboard structural components and arrangements.
• Review and provide feedback on design reviews for compliance and alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, and customer teams to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery.
