Pantheon Data, a Washington, DC area company, seeks a Senior Naval Architect to join the Ship Design Team and provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard on acquisition and sustainment projects.

The role involves reviewing stability, speed, and power designs, conducting tests, and collaborating across engineering, management, and customer teams to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery. Hybrid work with some onsite collaboration is offered.

Qualifikationen

  • 6 years naval architecture/marine engineering designing vessel arrangements and stability.

Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

Position Overview

Pantheon Data has a need for a Senior Naval Architect that is looking to continue their maritime experience. This candidate will work within the Ship Design Team to engineering support to the United States Coast Guard on a variety of acquisition and sustainment projects.

Responsibilities
  • Revie w Naval Architecture design work related to stability, speed, power.
  • Conduct, witness, and document tests including stability, speed, power, maneuvering, and seakeeping trials.
  • Review and provide guidance on shipboard structural components and arrangements.
  • Review and provide feedback on design review s for compliance and alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, and customer teams to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience with naval architecture software solving complex problems regarding hull design;
  • Experience with corrosion principles of metals for surface assets and boats;
  • Knowledge of USN, USCG, IACS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Experience and Certification Requirement
  • 6 years of Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering designing functional internal and topside arrangements for marine vessels, preparation of functional studies of stability and safety, studies and calculations for determination of machinery.
  • Experience with Government or commercial shipbuilding programs.
  • DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs preferred.
Education

Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in a Technical, Engineering, or Marine field.

Clearance Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements. Ability to obtain Public Trust prior to hire and maintain during employment is required.

Work Location

Hybrid - three (3) days a week at USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.)

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
