Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a skilled Naval Architect to lead stability management across the fleet and Newbuild projects. You will coordinate weight control, inclining tests, and stability documentation with operations, consultants, and classification societies.

The role requires familiarity with SOLAS stability, NAPA software, and MS Office. You will interact with executives and teams to ensure safe, efficient vessel performance and project feasibility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in weights and stability discipline with prescriptive and probabilistic stability.
  • Degree in Naval Architecture is required.
  • Experience conducting inclining experiments.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the New building department as the stability authority for vessels and projects.
  • Manage a stability database with weight and stability status for the fleet.
  • Assess fleet modernization and project feasibility with energy efficiency and loading considerations.
  • Develop construction and repair weight management plans and monitor them.
  • Facilitate inclining tests and approve stability documentation with teams and classification societies.
  • Advise on stability targets and lifecycle assessments for Newbuild projects.
  • Produce executive-level reports on weight and stability across projects.
  • Support other Naval Architecture topics as needed.
