Job summary

Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is seeking a motivated Senior Biologist/Project Manager to lead Natural Resources projects nationwide. You will conduct field surveys, habitat assessments, wetland delineations, and compliance monitoring, while spending ~60% of time on computer-based project management tasks such as proposals and reports.

The role requires fieldwork up to 40% travel across the nation, with preference for candidates near a regional/international airport.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in environmental science, biology, or related field (required).
• Master's degree or higher (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as a Natural Resources Project Manager (required).
• 5+ years of experience as a Natural Resources Project Manager (preferred).
• Strong technical writing and QA/QC skills for deliverables and proposals (required).
• Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate with agencies, and maintain client relationships (required).
• Familiarity with biological resources, special-status species, and permitting processes across multiple states (required).
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork up to 40% of the time, including travel across the nation and overnight stays (required).
• Active first aid/CPR training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage Natural Resources scopes of work for small to large projects.
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate field biologists.
• Coordinate scopes, schedules, budgets, and compliance monitoring programs; ensure regulatory adherence.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure effective communication with stakeholders to align on project goals and compliance requirements.
• Provide guidance and technical direction to clients and team members throughout project execution.
• Direct and review QA/QC processes; ensure accuracy of daily logs and reports.
• Maintain accountability for project deliverables, timelines, and quality.
