Job summary

Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is seeking a Senior Biologist/Project Manager to lead Natural Resources projects nationwide. The role includes field surveys such as habitat assessments, presence/absence surveys for listed species, wetland delineations, invasive species surveys, and compliance monitoring.

About 60% of the time will be spent on computer-based work to manage multiple projects, support proposals, survey reports, and management plans.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in environmental science or related discipline (required).
  • Master's degree or higher (preferred).
  • 3+ years as Natural Resources Project Manager (required).
  • 5+ years as Natural Resources Project Manager (preferred).
  • Strong technical writing and QA/QC skills for deliverables.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate with agencies, and maintain client relationships.
  • Familiarity with biological resources, special-status species, and permitting across multiple states.
  • Willingness to conduct fieldwork up to 40% of the time (travel).
  • Active first aid/CPR training (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Manage Natural Resources scopes of work for projects of various sizes.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coordinate field biologists.
  • Coordinate scopes, schedules, budgets, and compliance programs with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders to align project goals and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and technical direction during project execution.
  • Direct QA/QC processes and daily/weekly/monthly/annual compliance reports.
  • Maintain accountability for deliverables, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Adhere to ERG safety protocols and ethics; perform other duties as assigned.
