Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in designing and upgrading medium voltage electrical distribution systems for industrial, commercial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and mission-critical facilities.

The role combines technical leadership with client advisory responsibilities, guiding projects, mentoring junior engineers, and improving reliability and safety of power systems.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• 6+ years in medium- and low-voltage power system engineering.
• Experience designing electrical distribution systems from utility service entrance through MV distribution equipment.
• Experience with SKM and AutoCAD.
• Excellent client-facing communication and ability to lead engineering projects and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering design efforts for medium & low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
• Develop and review one-line diagrams, equipment layouts, construction drawings, specs, and calculations.
• Design and specify MV/LV switchgear, transformers, protective relaying, MCCs, UPS, ATS, and emergency power systems.
• Perform short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, power quality, harmonic, and grounding studies; review submittals.
