Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. seeks a Senior Civil Project Manager, PE, to lead municipal infrastructure projects from our Charlotte, NC office.

You will mentor staff, drive business development, and oversee planning, budgeting, and design across multiple projects. Responsibilities include managing client relationships with city and county leaders, leading proposals and negotiations, and coordinating construction-phase services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• 12+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, including municipal infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.
• Strong municipal business development experience with ability to grow client relationships and win work.
• Experience with plan and specification development, construction contract administration, and construction-phase services.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience conducting public meetings and presenting to officials.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple municipal engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resources, and performance.
• Serve as trusted advisor and primary contact for municipal clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with city, county, and local government leaders.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and proposals.
• Lead proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and financial performance; ensure delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and review designs, plans, specs, and studies.
• Coordinate construction administration activities and provide guidance during implementation.
• Build relationships with regulatory agencies and permitting authorities.
• Mentor and develop engineers and project staff; foster collaboration.
• Support recruiting and succession planning within Municipal team.
• Represent Bolton & Menk at meetings and industry events.
