Job summary

Apex Engineering Group, Inc. in St. Cloud, MN is seeking a senior-level Municipal Sector leader to manage client relationships, pursue opportunities, and guide staffing for municipal design and construction services.

The role emphasizes mentoring engineers, overseeing project profitability, and collaborating with sector leaders to grow Apex’s municipal market in MN/ND. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; 10+ years municipal engineering experience.
Licensed professional engineer in MN and/or ND.
Experience with municipal engineering, construction, and public works/utilities in MN/ND.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related civil design tools.
Strong written and verbal communication; leadership and mentoring.

Responsibilities

Manage client relationships; discuss RFPs and contract reviews.
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships to win work and deliver municipal infrastructure services.
Collaborate with sector leaders on pursuits and staffing.
Follow strategic plan initiatives for MN/ND municipal sector.
Mentor project engineers in contract development, profitability and risk management.
Lead business development and marketing for municipal services; engage with clients.
Attend conferences and professional seminars to grow Apex’s municipal services.
Coordinate project pursuits and staff staffing for impactful projects.
Participate in municipal leadership meetings and report financials.
