Cooley LLP is seeking a Payroll Manager to join the Accounting and Finance Team. You will oversee day-to-day payroll execution for US employees, including remote workers, and may process payroll for select US offices. You will ensure accuracy, compliance with wage and tax laws, and timely direct deposits.

The role requires 5+ years in multi-state payroll, hands-on experience with major HRIS platforms, and strong attention to detail. A Bachelor’s degree and CPP certification are preferred.

Formación

• 5+ years of progressive multi-state payroll experience.
• Extensive knowledge of wage/hour regulations and tax laws.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise HRIS/Payroll platforms: Ascentis, Workday, ADP Workforce Now or UKG Pro.
• Proficient in spreadsheet and database applications.

Responsabilidades

• End-to-end payroll processing for US employees across multiple states.
• Audit new employee tax setup and process semi-monthly payroll and tax files.
• Oversee updates to hires, salary changes, and terminations in the payroll system.
• Manage timelog approvals for manual adjustments per state law and firm policy.
• Administer deductions for benefits and reimbursements in the payroll system.
• Oversee direct deposit and payroll tax filings, ensuring timely payments.
