Job summary

Amcor is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead complex capital projects in PET preforms and rigid containers manufacturing. You will manage projects across multiple sites, ensuring productivity, timing, and budget alignment, while supporting cost-reduction initiatives.

Ideal candidate has seven years in plastics packaging, strong project management, and the ability to coordinate with plant managers and regional directors. Travel ~60% is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Seven years of professional engineering experience in plastics packaging, incl. project mgmt.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; able to influence multiple resources.

Responsibilities

• Create BOMs for new capital projects and support capital appropriation.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are in project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into actionable implementation plans with cost/timing criteria.
• Review plant infrastructure and plan upgrades/expansions.
• Evaluate equipment performance, cost, and workflows.
