Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex capital projects for PET preforms and rigid containers, spanning multiple sites from conception to qualification. You will drive productivity, budget adherence and timing while supporting cost-reduction initiatives within manufacturing locations.

The role requires seven-plus years of engineering and project management experience in plastics packaging, strong leadership, and the ability to manage resources across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Seven years of professional engineering experience in plastics packaging, including seven years of project management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and manage resources.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support the capital appropriation process.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are included in project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into an action plan meeting cost and timing criteria.
• Review plant infrastructure and equipment against project requirements and plan upgrades.
• Analyze performance and cost of equipment, tooling, and workflows.
• Communicate and resolve project timing and budget issues; publish weekly status reports.
• Create and maintain division level technical specs and documentation.
• Regularly communicate with plants to monitor long-term project performance.
• Review CEAV requests for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Travel ~60%.
