Job summary

CDM Smith in Nashville, TN is seeking a Transportation Engineer to take complete streets and multimodal projects from concept to construction. You will develop PS&E packages, including plan/profile sheets, details, signing and striping, ADA ramps, utilities, and MOT/traffic control plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/transportation engineering or related field.
• PE licensure required or ability to obtain in a reasonable time.
• 7+ years of transportation engineering experience with complete streets/multimodal focus.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required based on project location.

Responsibilities

• Develop PS&E packages for multimodal and complete streets projects.
• Create plan/profile sheets, details, signing/striping, ADA ramps and MOT plans.
• Perform hands-on design using AutoCAD Civil 3D (corridors, surfaces, alignments).
• Deliver model-based designs, manage sheets, QA/QC and agency reviews.
• Prepare engineer’s cost estimates and project specifications; apply standards.
