Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking an experienced Transit Engineer to lead planning, design and delivery of transit infrastructure projects from corridor improvements to stations and support facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Experience producing PS&E and construction drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver transit designs for moderate to high complexity projects (bus corridors, BRT, stations, facilities).
• Produce and review PS&E and construction drawing packages for accuracy and compliance.
• Review designs for regulatory compliance; sign and seal plans as required.
• Conduct site reviews and coordinate with planners, utilities, and public agencies.
• Mentor junior engineers and support design teams through QA/QC and agency reviews.
• Support proposal development and client meetings; represent the firm externally.
