Carmel Partners, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer - Multifamily Construction in Long Beach, CA.

The role supports the Project Manager on a large mixed-use multifamily development, Long Beach Marina Shores, with responsibilities spanning planning, scheduling, procurement, coordination with design teams, and site logistics. Ideal candidates hold a construction management related degree, 4+ years in commercial/residential construction, and proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years’ experience in Commercial or Residential Construction.
• 3+ years’ experience in Residential Construction Project Management.
• Proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam.
• OSHA 10- or 30-hour training within the last 5 years.
• First Aid and CPR within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with planning and execution of construction projects.
• Support the project schedule as assigned by the Project Manager.
• Manage procurement and submittal logs.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for conformance with Contract Documents and manage approvals.
• Coordinate shop drawings, material interface, access, and routing with Subcontractors and Design Team.
• Prepare mock-ups for Owner approval.
• Support quality control by inspecting work in progress and completed work.
• Assist Superintendent with site logistics planning.
• Develop scopes of work, bid packages, bid analysis, and quantity take-offs for buyout.
• Manage drawing and document issuance and design updates including RFIs.
• Assist with Change Management and project closeout.
