Job summary

Carmel Partners seeks a Senior Project Manager with a proven background in construction or civil engineering to lead multi-family developments in Long Beach. You will supervise budgets, schedules, and subcontractors from project initiation through occupancy, ensuring compliance with plans and safety standards.

You’ll coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, manage a team of project engineers and superintendents, and drive projects to successful completion on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in Construction or related field.
• 7+ years’ experience in Multi‑Family Construction Project Management.
• 7+ years’ experience managing others.
• Experience in podium construction is a must.
• OSHA 30-hour certification within past 3 years and current First Aid & CPR.

Responsibilities

• Manage project buyout and contract negotiations.
• Manage the budget and job cost forecasting.
• Meet financial, budget, and forecasting objectives.
• Monitor construction schedule and progress via site reports.
• Perform onsite inspections to ensure standards meet plans.
• Approve contractor invoices and change orders.
• Lead project to timely completion within scope and budget.
• Coordinate with onsite teams, third‑party groups, and corporate office.
• Hire, manage, and direct internal project staff.
