Job summary

Carmel Partners, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for a multifamily construction project in Long Beach, CA. You will support the Regional Lead by maintaining the schedule, controlling the budget, and managing submittals, vendors, and contractors to keep the project on track.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive construction experience, and proficiency with project management tools. The position involves onsite work on Marina Shores and collaboration with executives and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 8-10+ years’ experience in Construction or related field.
• 5-7+ years’ experience in Multi-Family Construction Project Management.
• 5-7+ years’ experience managing others.
• Experience in wrap & podium construction a must.
• OSHA 30-hour Certification; current First Aid & CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Manage project buyout and contract negotiations.
• Manage the budget and job cost forecasting.
• Meet financial, budget, and forecasting objectives and report to senior management.
• Monitor construction schedule, track progress through site reports.
• Perform onsite inspections ensuring standards and plans are followed.
• Review contractor invoices and change orders; keep costs aligned with budgets.
• Lead project to timely completion and certification of occupancy.
• Liaise between onsite teams, third parties, and corporate offices.
• Hire, manage, and direct internal team (Engineers, PMs, Superintendents).
