Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Multifamily Property Compliance Manager in the United States (Oregon area) to lead daily operations of multifamily compliance engagements, mentor analysts, ensure regulatory adherence, and maintain strong client relationships.

The role requires extensive knowledge of LIHTC/TAX-EXEMPT BONDS, COS/HCCP, and a proven track record managing multiple client engagements. Hybrid work options and a competitive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of directly related experience in the administration and monitoring of multifamily affordable housing program(s), including at least 3 years of leadership/management experience.
• COS or equivalent certification and HCCP designation required; additional compliance certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day execution of multifamily compliance engagements, including planning, staffing, scheduling, workload allocation, and timely completion of client deliverables.
• Review pre- and post-occupancy tenant file compliance reviews, reports, findings, and related work products for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as escalation point for complex compliance matters, engagement issues, and client questions.
• Provide technical guidance related to affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HOME, etc.).
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop Senior/Property Compliance Analysts and Junior staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Monitor engagement performance, productivity, quality standards, and team capacity; identify issues and improvements.
• Strengthen client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and service orientation.
• Support department training, knowledge-sharing, and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist leadership with client service strategies, business development support, and strategic priorities.
• Other duties as assigned.
