Job summary

Minnesota Cannabis Services is seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of store performance, from daily operations and compliance to financial reporting and team development. You’ll drive growth through data-driven decisions and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

The role focuses on leading high-performing teams, stretching across scheduling, merchandising, and customer engagement, with autonomy within a collaborative network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-functional retail management with direct supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with scheduling, inventory systems, and financial reporting.
• High integrity, personal motivation, adaptability, and sense of urgency.
• Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
• Retail, sales and/or customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Not required cannabis industry experience but preferred if consumer.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly (200 pounds with assistance).
• Must commit to coming to work sober.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Minimum 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of managers and associates to exceed operational and financial goals.
• Oversee scheduling, cash and inventory management, visual merchandising, and compliance.
• Champion a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and coach Assistant GMs, preparing them for future leadership roles.
• Collaborate with corporate and cross-functional teams to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure safety, consistency, and excellence in every facet of operations.
