Job summary

Lundbeck LLC is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL), Rare Epilepsies, to provide field-based medical leadership across NeuroRare indications in the U.S. You will build strategic partnerships with external experts, generate insights to inform evidence strategies, and support portfolio decisions and launch readiness.

The role emphasizes scientific depth, cross-functional collaboration, and compliant documentation, with travel up to 50-75% domestically and a focus on pre-launch

Qualifications

• Accredited advanced degree in a health or life sciences-related field.
• ≥5 years of healthcare or related experience (industry, clinical practice, research, academic, or managed markets).
• ≥2 years of customer-facing Field Medical Affairs experience within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences organization.
• Proven experience supporting pre-launch assets, including KOL identification and strategic mapping.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex scientific data and translate insights into meaningful scientific dialogue and decision-relevant insights.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
• Proven ability to build trust, lead through scientific credibility, and operate effectively in a matrixed environment.
• Track record of accountability, strategic thinking, and results orientation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Driving is an essential duty of this job; must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• The role is part of Lundbeck’s Vehicle Fleet Stipend Program and requires business use of a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Scientific Engagement & Insight Generation: establish deep partnerships with KOLs and investigators in rare epilepsies.
• Evidence Strategy & Cross-Functional Partnership: align field execution with enterprise scientific priorities.
• Disease Education & Scientific Credibility: deliver non-promotional disease education and support congress strategy.
• Field Medical Excellence: mentor and onboard new MSLs; ensure regulatory compliance and timely documentation.
