Job summary

Lundbeck is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison for Rare Epilepsies in a field-based role across the U.S. The Sr MSL will lead external scientific engagement, generate high-quality insights, and collaborate with Medical Directors and cross-functional teams to advance NeuroRare initiatives.

The role requires an advanced life sciences degree, 5+ years healthcare experience, and 2+ years in Field Medical Affairs, with strong communication and scientific credibility, plus willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Advanced degree in health or life sciences or related field.
• 5+ years healthcare or related experience in industry, clinical practice, research, or academia.
• 2+ years customer-facing Field Medical Affairs experience in pharma/biotech.
• Experience supporting pre-launch assets, including KOL identification and mapping.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into scientific dialogue and decisions.
• Strong communication skills; ability to influence without authority.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and field medical documentation.
• Willingness to travel up to 50–75% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Establish and sustain deep scientific partnerships with KOLs, centers, and investigators in rare epilepsies.
• Serve as a scientific expert through compliant external engagement and insights generation.
• Generate pre-launch field medical insights and test value narratives and evidence gaps.
• Synthesize insights with implications for evidence strategy, education, and portfolio decisions.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation of insights in CRM and compliance with standards.
