Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of multi-level BOMs, routings, MRP logic required.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Position requires employee to utilize and understand Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Review MRP daily and action any new requirements for finished goods items.
• Review MRP daily to ensure the appropriate WIP schedules are in place to support both customer orders and the forecast.
• Work closely with the Production Manager on scheduling issues and to create or adjust minimum stocking requirements and order sizes as needed.
• Work with accounting, stockroom clerks and production supervisors as needed on inventory and scheduling issues.
• Utilize planning tools to ensure that each work center has sufficient work as needed.
• Manage all planning tasks of the Engineering Change process.
• Review incoming customer orders daily and provide updated ship dates as needed.
• Act as the backup for the Planner / Expeditor.
• Other duties as assigned.
