Job summary

Celanese is seeking a Senior Specialist, MRO Procurement, to lead maintenance and capital project procurement for designated plant operations. You will develop sourcing strategies, issue RFQs, negotiate terms, and drive cost savings while engaging with plant stakeholders and other key teams.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and supplier partners to optimize service levels, lead times, and total cost.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Procurement
Advanced knowledge of commercial terms and contracting
Experience in supplier selection and evaluation
Strong analytical and strategic sourcing skills
Excellent communication at all levels

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintenance and capital project procurement
Develop and implement local site procurement strategy
Execute sourcing plans including RFQs and contracts
Collaborate with stakeholders to consolidate suppliers and improve service, cost, and lead times
Use spend data to identify opportunities and drive incremental value
Act as escalation point to resolve issues and address vendor performance
Manage procurement activities per corporate policies and business conduct
Drive daily activities aligned with team goals and cost reduction
Lead procurement for turnarounds and emergencies, after hours
Negotiate favorable legal terms with suppliers
