Job summary

Celanese seeks a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Projects – CapEx for the Pensacola Specialty Elastomers Plant. You will manage capital and expense projects from scoping through handover, coordinating with internal teams and outside resources to ensure on-budget, on-time delivery.

The role requires 7+ years in industrial project engineering/management, strong communication, and solid procurement knowledge, with familiarity in SAP and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science in an engineering field and 7+ years in project engineering/management within industrial settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for all organizational levels and vendor relations.
• Strong procurement knowledge and ability to justify project economics and scope.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly project cost forecasting and annual capital plan development.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to update capital plans.
• Manage execution of the annual capital plan per cost and schedule expectations.
• Lead development of project scope, cost estimate, and economic justification for appropriation requests.
• Oversee design, procurement, contracting, execution, commissioning, and turnover of projects.
• Engage outside resources as needed and ensure compliance with management of change guidelines.
