Job summary

The University of Miami MRI department is seeking a Part-Time MRI Technologist – Level III to perform complex MRI exams and support protocol development under radiologist supervision. You will supervise and perform imaging studies, manage patient flow, and participate in research protocols as needed.

The ideal candidate has an ARRT certification in the primary modality, CPR/BLS, and five years of relevant experience with strong teaching and training abilities.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant radiology experience required.
• ARRT registered with ARRT certification in primary modality.
• CPR and BLS certification required.
• State of Florida General Radiographer license preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
• Supervises as well as performs diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of a radiologist.
• Assist radiologists and PhD's in developing new MRI protocols and techniques.
• Participate in research initiatives and development of research protocols.
• Monitor charging of MRI procedures and supplies daily to ensure correctness.
• Provide training and orientation for new MRI technologists.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
