Job summary

The University of Miami UHealth - Department of Radiology at SoLé Mia is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist 2. The role performs MRI procedures, ensures high-quality diagnostic images, and supports radiologists with protocol development and patient care.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, performing imaging under supervision, training staff, and assisting with new protocols and research. Requires ARRT, Florida license, and minimum 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology / Diagnostic Imaging Program.
• Valid State of Florida General Radiographer license.
• ARRT registered with primary modality.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
• Performs diagnostic imaging studies under the direction/supervision of a radiologist.
• Assists with the education and training of new physicians.
• Assists radiologists and PhDs in developing new protocols and Ultrasound imaging techniques.
• Monitors charging of Ultrasound procedures and supplies daily.
• Ensures orders are appropriate to the exam; notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
• Verifies patient identity and obtains necessary consents for MRI.
• Performs specialized tasks with MRI equipment under supervision.
• Integrates diagnostic results and adapts exams as necessary.
• Adheres to MRI protocols and regulatory guidelines.
