Job summary

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics Imaging Services is seeking an MRI Technologist 3 to perform complex MRI procedures and support radiologists with interventional MRI. The role requires meeting safety standards and expertise in detailing patient care throughout imaging workflows.

Responsibilities include order verification, consent, image quality assessment, PACS transmission, and training of student technologists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology / Diagnostic Imaging Program.
• CPR and BLS certification required.
• ARRT registered and ARRT Certified in primary modality or within one year of hire date.
• State of Florida License as a General Radiographer preferred.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience preferred, new grads considered.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review MRI orders to confirm procedures and notes.
• Verify patient identity and obtain consent.
• Perform complex MRI procedures with safety protocols under Radiologist supervision.
• Assist radiologist with IVs and contrast, if applicable; interventional MRI as needed.
• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality and transmit to PACS; label correctly.
• Assist with scheduling, training of student technologists, and on-call coverage.
