Job summary
Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Product Development Senior Engineer for the Motors team to own global motor deliverables across projects and technologies. You will work with cross-functional teams, including suppliers, to drive validation, NPD, and cost/quality improvements for Laundry powertrain.
The role requires leadership in design reviews, test plans, and PPAP releases, with travel potential and relocation assistance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aeronautics or Automobile Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in product development with project management skills
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
- Experience with motors or rotative mechanical components
- Knowledge of GD&T and Six Sigma tools
Responsibilities
- Develop Motors for Whirlpool appliances with focus on Laundry
- Lead technical developments with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Define validation plans and assess component maturity
- Drive NPD, cost and quality improvements for Laundry powertrain
- Coordinate global cross-functional teams and manage supplier reviews
- Conduct data-driven problem solving using Six Sigma/OPEX
