Job summary

Anduril Industries in California is seeking an experienced motor control engineer to join the Hardware Platform Organization. You will design and implement advanced control algorithms for BLDC and PMSM motors, and work across MIL/SIL/HIL validation with real-time simulators.

The role emphasizes embedded C coding on microcontrollers, model-based design in MATLAB/Simulink, and close collaboration with HW and test teams. US security clearance or eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

10+ years designing motor control algorithms for BLDC/PMSM.
Strong foundation in PID tuning and state estimation.
Experience with HIL in real-time simulators.
Experience with microcontroller motor control loops.
Familiarity with CAN, SPI, UART, RS-485.
U.S. Person status required.

Responsibilities

Design FOC, six-step, and DTC algorithms for motors.
Develop sensorless rotor position estimation methods.
Create and validate motor/inverter models in MATLAB/Simulink.
Integrate Simulink auto-coded modules with MCU RTOS.
Support MIL/SIL/HIL testing with real-time simulators.
