Job summary

RTX is seeking junior engineers to support the design and test of electronic products and systems. The role centers on circuit cards, power electronics, and robust motor control systems within the EAP team. Active U.S. government security clearance is required before start date.

You will work onsite in Tucson, join a growing organization, and gain hands-on experience from concept to integration, with opportunities for career development and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with motor types: Brushed, BLDC or PMSM.
• Experience with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica.
• Analog electronics design: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, filters, termination, and comparators.
• Lab experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, generators, power supplies, and DAQ.
• Advanced EE preferred; wide bandgap device experience (SiC, GaN) is a plus.
• Experience with SIMPLIS/SABER, DxDesigner, Hyperlynx are a plus.
• Experience with voltages >400V and power >10kW; 3-phase power systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry.
• Hands-on drafting at circuit card level.
• Lead circuit card development through design phases.
• Meet schedules; define tasking for circuit work.
• Guide ECAD drafters in layout and routing; assist layer stackup.
