Job summary

Raytheon is seeking junior to mid-level engineers in Tucson, AZ to support design and test of electronic products and systems. The role focuses on circuit cards, power electronics, and motor-control systems within the EAP team, with opportunities to grow in a defense-focused environment.

As part of a growing hardware group, you will work on power conversion, analog design, and layout coordination, applying foundational skills and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• STEM degree and 5+ years experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with motors: Brushed, BLDC, or PMSM is a plus.
• Experience with analog electronics design (FETs/BJTs, op-amp, filters).
• Lab experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, generators, power supplies.
• Experience with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, test, and document power conversion circuitry.
• Draft and design at circuit-card level.
• Guide design through requirements to integration testing.
• Help manage schedules for circuit-level tasks.
• Coordinate with ECAD drafters on layouts.
