Job summary

RTX is seeking mid-career engineers to design and test power electronics for motor control systems. You will work on 3-phase inverter design, sensor interfaces, and analog circuits, contributing to reliable circuit card level implementations.

Experience in defense-related hardware is not required, as RTX offers training and growth. A 9/80 work schedule and relocation eligibility are provided to successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8+ years experience; or Advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience with motor types: Brushed, BLDC or PMSM.
• Experience with analog electronics design (op-amp, filters, etc.).
• Lab experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies.
• Familiarity with SiC/GaN in power electronics.
• Design for voltages >400V and power >10kW; three-phase systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry (3-phase inverter focus).
• Lead circuit-level tasking and schedule definition.
• Guide ECAD drafters in layout and routing; assist in layer stackup.
• Lead small teams as SME on Controls Hardware Electronics.
