Checkr’s Brand Studio seeks a Senior Designer who blends graphic design with motion craft to bring product stories and brand moments to life through animation. You’ll own motion end-to-end, from concept to final delivery, across campaigns, launches, web experiences, and in-product moments, while building reusable assets and setting design standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of in-house or agency experience with a dedicated focus on design and motion graphics/animation.
• Experience developing motion/brand standards and directing contractor or freelance creative work.
• Comfort in fast-moving environments where the brief isn’t always perfect.
• An outstanding reel or portfolio showing mastery of motion craft, timing, storytelling, and design direction.
• A systems-minded approach to building motion templates and reusable assets other teams can rely on.
• A strong point of view, high craft standards, and the confidence to present and defend your work to stakeholders.
• An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Fluency in After Effects, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other creative tools of the trade, plus experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate production

Responsibilities

• Lead motion end-to-end: storyboards, style frames, animatics, and finished assets for brand campaigns and in-product motion.
• Build motion templates and reusable assets, enforce motion guidelines across the organization.
• Partner with marketing, web development, and product design to align motion across programs.
• Hold quality high across multiple projects and take ownership even when briefs are unclear.
