Job summary

Checkr seeks an experienced Motion Designer to own end-to-end motion work—from concept through final delivery—for brand campaigns, launch videos, and in-product moments. You will craft story-driven motion with precise timing and visual storytelling aligned to brand standards.

You’ll build reusable motion templates, collaborate with marketing, web, and product teams, and present design rationale to peers and executives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in-house or agency experience focusing on design and motion graphics/animation
• Strong point of view, high craft standards, and ability to defend work to stakeholders
• Outstanding reel/portfolio showing mastery of motion craft, timing, storytelling, and design direction
• Fluency in After Effects, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud; experience with AI-assisted tools
• Systems-minded approach to building motion templates and reusable assets
• Experience developing motion/brand standards and directing contractor or freelance work
• Comfort in fast-moving environments where briefs aren’t perfect
• A-player mindset with bias for action, urgency, and ownership

Responsibilities

• Own motion end-to-end from concept to final delivery—storyboards, style frames, animatics, assets for campaigns, launches, and in-product moments
• Build motion templates and reusable assets; enforce motion design guidelines
• Collaborate with marketing, web, and product design; present rationale to peers and executives
• Maintain high quality across multiple projects and prioritize timely delivery
• Use AI-assisted workflows to accelerate production without sacrificing craft
