Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of direct mortgage underwriting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in business, finance or related field, or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending processes and regulations.
• Proficiency with mortgage underwriting systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite loans with minimal oversight and high accuracy.
• Resolve complex underwriting issues and escalate as needed.
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly in writing and verbally.
• Apply underwriting systems to verify inputs and suggest improvements.
• Support team with moderately complex underwriting scenarios.
• Collaborate with processing, closing, and compliance to improve workflows.
