Job summary

First American seeks a senior accounting professional in Fort Mill to lead mortgage servicing accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and guide a team of accounting professionals. You will partner with servicing, treasury, finance, operations, and compliance to uphold controls and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of relevant experience, strong analytical and project-management skills, and a proven track record of leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 5-7 years of directly related experience.
• 3-5 years supervisory/management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships at middle management and across global teams.
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet accounting operational goals by setting standards for financial information and process improvements.
• Manage accounting systems and procedures; propose and implement enhancements.
• Approve bank account reconciliations and oversee monthly financial statements.
• Supervise month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Provide audit support and ensure internal controls across servicing activities.
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals; conduct performance reviews.
