Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Sr Portfolio Manager to oversee client relationships, servicing strategy, and profitability across a portfolio of mortgage clients. You will coordinate transactions, drive value‑add initiatives, and manage risk while partnering with legal to review servicing agreements.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills, 5+ years in Mortgage Servicing, and a proven ability to improve processes and results in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline.
• 5+ years equivalent work experience in Mortgage Servicing, preferably in a client‑facing function.
• Strong knowledge of GSE guidelines and regulations is a plus.
• Strong business communication skills with an ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with organizational and project management skills.
• Strong skills in Excel (graphs, pivot tables, formulas).
• Prior experience with SQL is a plus.
• Prior work experience performing business, data, and/or statistical analysis is a plus.
• Experience with PowerPoint and Visio is a plus.
• Natural entrepreneurial interest is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for 3rd party mortgage clients.
• Design and implement value‑add client campaigns affecting operations and policy.
• Manage risk metrics and resolve operational issues.
• Oversee and track transfer activities and GSE forms.
• Oversee repurchases and partner with prior servicers.
• Reconcile GSE invoices and perform root cause analysis.
