Job summary

UFCU is seeking a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor in Austin, TX. The role manages loan files from receipt through closing, compiling and verifying documents for underwriting, and communicating with members to collect missing items.

Responsibilities include reviewing credit, employment, assets, and appraisals, ordering title and insurance documents, and ensuring compliance with AUS and guidelines. Reports to the Senior Manager, Mortgage Loan Operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or related coursework preferred.
• Experience with mortgage loan processing and LOS is expected.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications and documents to determine AUS results and guidelines.
• Review credit reports and employment/income documentation.
• Review asset statements and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with members to obtain required documents.
• Evaluate appraisals for accuracy before underwriting submission.
• Order property information including title, flood certification, and homeowners Insurance.
• Verify underwriting conditions and prepare files for Closing.
