Job summary

First Heritage Mortgage in Fairfax, VA is seeking a mortgage loan processor to join our team. You will handle processing Conventional, FHA, VA loans, ensuring completeness and timing per investor rules, and prepare files for underwriting.

Requirements include 3–5 years of mortgage processing experience, fluency in English and Spanish, knowledge of Encompass, DU and LPA, and familiarity with FHA/VA/USDA underwriting guidelines. New construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both English and Spanish.
• 3–5 years of mortgage loan processing experience.
• Familiarity with FHA, VA, USDA, bond and conventional underwriting.
• Knowledge of Encompass loan origination system.
• Proficient in DU and LPA.
• New Construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process mortgage loan applications in compliance with investor requirements.
• Ensure completeness of applications and obtain additional documents as needed.
• Prepare loan files for underwriting.
• Proactively communicate loan status to originators, borrowers and agents.
• Review AUS findings before submission to ensure fit with loan program.
• Manage priorities and workflow with strong attention to detail.
