Job summary

Citi is seeking a Mortgage Lending Officer in Rockville, MD to originate high quality residential real estate loans. This interactive role collaborates with retail branches, real estate partners, and internal teams to deliver tailored lending solutions and exceptional client service.

Qualified candidates will have 5–8 years of mortgage experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and proven sales and credit capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of mortgage industry experience required.
• Residential mortgage expertise and knowledge of lending products.
• Sales experience and ability to explain pricing to clients.
• FHA/VA and conventional loan experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about their financial situation and lending needs to achieve home ownership goals.
• Collect and analyze financial information including income, assets, debts, and credit history.
• Assess whether the customer and property may qualify for a lending solution.
• Recommend lending solutions aligned with customer objectives.
• Build relationships with real estate agents and referral sources to drive mortgage business.
• Coordinate with Operations, Processors, and Underwriters to ensure timely closings.
